I have a sunflower stalk I’ve been saving, it’s about 8’ tall. I’m thinking “wizard staff” kind of treatment.
I don’t know if it’d hold up. How long have you had it?
I’ve had it for years. I’m not saying it would be a good structural walking stick, it would definitely be more of a prop.

As another walking stick maker, I make 3 or 4 a year to be given away at the county fair, you have an excellent collection!
At the fair? How do you decide who gets one?
It’s a very small county fair and there are 3 or 4 of us that make maybe a dozen total walking sticks. We just put them in a barrel at the gate and people can just take one if they need or want one. They can either keep it or put it back when done with it. Sometimes we have one or two sticks left after the fair is done with or none at all.
