2·27 days agoDoes it make a loud noise? They also stomp on some tree trunks to make a loud drumming sound. Or a visual mark for others to see, maybe.Territorial thing.

1·1 month agoDonate it. I give to “Children With Hair Loss”. Takes me two years to grow it to around a foot long. Im one year into my 6th donation. Two full heads of hair and 3 mohawks, already in the bag. Im 50 now, figured, if it keeps growing back, why not.
If it is, it’s petrified.
Honey Comb was one of my favorites!
Light makes it all the way through.

I think maybe corral…it’s got a slight curve to it.
At a cellular tower site. I have small periods of time, throughout the day, that I can stare at the gravel. Rooftops can be a good spot to look, as well.

And not vacation, work trip. Haven’t been on a vacation for years.
Sounds good except for the runny part. But, to each…
It went on with a bunch of other steel. Probably 3lbs of aluminum. Not much wiring. The compressor and stuff was fairly heavy. I’m not sure how much copper it is involved with that.
That big peace in the middle was super heavy. All steel and a bunch of screws.
It also had a bunch of solonoids, so if you took time to split them apart, you’d a bit more.
I just took it apart. The boss takes it in. He bought a wire stripping machine and in 2 days, we stripped 500 pounds. About 3hr/day, 4 guys.

Dull Men's Club@lemmy.world•Did some "Competent Climber" and "Competent Rescuer",again.
3·3 months agoNATE, ANSI, OSHA all have regulations for this type of work. 20 years ago, not so much. If you knew the tower owner, a lot of the time they would let you just climb up there. This was the, or one of the most dangerous jobs you could have. So they’ve stepped up the training and regulations. Having really good insurance is a must, for most tower owners now.
Try looking for a “competent climber” course. You will need the appropriate PPE as well. Full body harness and safety climb device.
It might be cheaper to hire a tower climbing company. We sub for a couple big name cell companies and we do stuff for the random Ham radio guy now and then. And a bit of WiFi. Shouldn’t be too hard to find a company near you. But I’m just a tower monkey and have nothing to do with prices. No idea what it would cost. I make a little over $30/hrs…

How many of them, that decided this, have a private jet?
