    I think the play can be ok, but it probably needs some increased focus from the refs.

    • the O line is properly onside.
    • the center doesn’t work the ball forward pre snap.
    • the line or pushers aren’t moving early.

    These things are already penalties, but they tend not to get called in this scenario despite them happening on a reasonable number of these plays.

    Outgoing Packers president Mark Murphy had said … “I am not a fan of this play. There is no skill involved and it is almost an automatic first down on plays of a yard or less.”

    How it started: 34-29.

    How it ended: 22-10.

      I can’t believe that’s the reasoning he went with. It does take skill,. especially from the line. They have to get low and engage the defenders just right in a rugby style scrum. It’s not automatic. Just look at Philly early in the season when they struggled more with it because Kelce wasn’t under center.
