I was never high on McCarthy in college. He’s a game manager, not a game changer. He got drafted high because of his size. He reminds me of Trubisky pick. Scouts rated him high because he “looked like a QB”. Not from his game tapes, not from his decision making. sheesh.
Good point. So weird they picked him of all the coaches. It would be stupid. Next year’s got good QBs coming out of college.

That seems fairly average for a QB these days. Remember cap just went by A LOT. As I recall Darnold deal is very cheap. $100 over 3 years and this is presummably his peak years. Kid got robbed.

Bears have a ton of good receivers so this was a logical move. And got a nice return for him too.
