1·28 days agoi used inkscape for a project recently and was amazed how far it has come since the last time i used it, somewhere around 15-20 years ago. then it was quirky and homely, now it feels pretty professional. i was still able to crash it doing some normalish stuff though, so make sure to save your work often :-)

2·1 month agothe line between “legit” and “scammer” is pretty blurry assuming they were really just copying the free-to-copy shareware and selling the floppies.
my impression is that gates was doing some pretty impressive computer programming for a good stint in his early days…
