Funnily enough, I use FreeBSD. It’s simple and easy. Native zfs is perfect for lots of media. I only forgo hw acceleration but don’t miss it at all

Dw truenas core is dead/EoL so it’s either truenas scale (Debian) or freebsd now

You’ll probably want to layer in a quantum resistant crypto too. E.g. encrypt the plaintext with old school encryption like you are, then encrypt the cyphertext with quantum resistant encryption. This is essentially one part of what signal does

As an open source project via gitlab’s program we get 50000 minutes each year. That’s 4000-5000 merge requests of CI time for us. How many do you need? Odd that you get signed out every day.
