WotC/Hasbro did so much marketing in the wake of Stranger Things and Critical Role to bring in new players, but they never got a chance to see what else is on the market. And there are so many 5e clones and hacks that it’s hard to break through the noise with some people.
If you don’t mind something more OSR, Stars Without Number is a good sandbox space game. I’ve played it a couple of times and enjoyed it.
My goal for the year is to get my game published, as well as find more non-D&D folks in my area. I find too many that only know that one game, and I want to find more who knows more.

I love it simply because it’s a Trek show that stopped taking itself seriously. Star Trek always had an amount of stoicism about it, and LD takes it away and points out all the stupid stuff fans have just taken. And the whole thing works because it isn’t a crew at the edge of being heroes. My two cents.
Check out Tailscale. They have 20 machine limit on the free plan. It runs on wireguard and is pretty secure.
The store I have been at lately has welcomed the idea of more RPGs played there for some time. He got me on the store’s discord so I could find and chat with players. There was a push for some time, but folks have been rather silent about TTRPGs.
