then I think it makes sense to have a decent size throne room, because they would need to have guests from the settlement to solve disputes and problems and messengers from other kingdoms. Maybe make some hallways and rooms? Norman castles liked to have the throne room at the top of the castle but others had it differently. Many castles were also living quarters so they would have things like bedrooms, servants quarters, barracks, kitchen, great hall (for feasting), library, even a blacksmith and place of worship etc.

I have more pics of it on another PC. I am on my laptop right now. I might post them tomorrow. Well my throne room was quite open plan but I added pillars and archways. Also filled up the space with some fish tanks and chairs and tables. I wanted it to be more open because it was meant to be grand and overwhelming. More like the interior of a palace rather than a castle though the outside is more like a castle. Not sure how to explain it. Depends what type of castle you are making? Is it purely defensive? If so, then nothing wrong with having a smaller room maybe two or three chunks wide?

There are different floors on the inside with lots of rooms and hallways like a throne room, art gallary, TONS of armour stands. Had to grind for ages. But it was fun.

Guilty! lol, I have to plant a good crop field or two.

Thanks! I agree for sure. I definitely think castles are one of the best things you can make. I always lean towards medieval fantasy style and always have to build a good castle. Not a huge fan of modern builds. The roof was the hardest part cause at first I used lapis blocks for it but then I realized that would take too long even though I traded with dozens of clerics. So I think I used concrete for the roof and maybe wool.
Looks fantastic! Very cosy. Perhaps you could place snow blocks and snow layers on teh roof? Maybe some berry bushes and rose bushes for a pop of colour.

Thanks! It was fun to make though the blades were tedious lol. I came up with the design at the last minute.

Fair enough, that makes sense.

Have you read the Expanse? I watched the show but heard the books are really good!

Thanks!

I love reading, mainly fantasy though lately manga and webtoon etc. What genre do you read? I never got into Gameboy but would be cool to play older games one day.

I don’t like the term forever world. Though that is my own personal opinion. Too many YouTubers use it for the clickbait but never actually treat it like a forever world with the exception of a few like Etho and stuff. I do watch lots of modded play throughts but i prefer vanilla. More then enough content to keep me busy. I definitely play in the worlds long term, sometimes even a couple of years. Though I guess I generally do prefer to start new worlds eventually. But this world aint going anywhere any time soon.

I got a sudden burst of creativity so yeah I definitely did not want to lose it. I do sometimes get burn out and do another hobby to take a break.

Minecraft is so addicting I cant help but play it all the time these days, much more than 2 weeks lol. Though I have heard of that meme.

Thanks, lol. I no life this game. I just put on some YouTube videos in the background and grind.

I did round up some animals but they don’t show up because they won’t load from that far away since I am up in the sky on a platform and hid the HUD to take a screenshot

Thanks! That’s the vibe I was going for so glad it came across.

Nice! I really do need to use it more, it’s annoying that jungle trees hardly drop any sapplings and those branches that stick out make them tedious to chop sometimes but they can be quite for building.
well medieval people loved churches. Look at Cambridge. There are dozens of them. So cant go wrong with multiple ones. And traditionally the royalty would have their own services exclusively from commoners but of course your world does not have to adhere to those rules. And if you already have a cathedral then it makes sense not to repeat the build. House of Lords would be cool but to me that does not really seem like a castle though definitely an administrative building. So maybe I misunderstood what you wanted. I say try it out in creative mode first and use real world pics to help you perhaps. Good luck!
