Everyone knows the line for inappropriate behavior is criminal charges being filed.

I’ve used this for years. Works great.
We can switch to piracy. I don’t only because of the benefits steam offers. If that ever changes in a way that tips the scale I’ll never buy a game from them again and I’d never need to. Even if they start making all new games online only in a way that can’t be circumvented there’s a big enough backlog of games to keep me going the rest of my life.
They just pass those problems on to their customers these days.
Technically yes. I have all my piracy stuff running in a VM on my desktop.
I like that there’s a (small) barrier to entry here. Keeps out the riff raff.
Agreed. McDonald’s sucks but I literally throw up about 1/3 of the time I have White Castle and it doesn’t even taste good.
Just cut up the model into a million smaller parts and post them on thingiverse so everyone on that site that already has a 3d printer can print one out and mail it to baltimore. EZ
Sure it comes off as aggressive ultimatums, but when I worked on New Jersey I saw numerous arguments between passionate coders who really cared about their work and spoke on these loud voices with aggressive gesticulations and gestures, and it was frightening. But, when you took apart the arguments, it was all about “the code” this, and “the standard” that, and very little “you suck” and “you’re dumb”. And, when the argument was settled, these passionate people were still friends.
I used to work for a guy like that. He was aware of how a lot of people perceived him and was working on it but it never really bothered me when he slipped because like you said it wasn’t a personal attack, he was just trying to make us get the work done to his standards. There were multiple times he would come to me and apologize after we finished something and I was just like “well you were right so I’m not really worried about it”.
Yes I liked having pictures of my dead pets and relatives from 10 years ago but I wasn’t going to ever look at them again. I have my memories and that’s enough.
I used to think like this but I’ve found that going through those old pictures is a good way to bring up memories you wouldn’t otherwise think about again. I like to do that when I’m in a funk and it really helps to clear my head of nasty emotions.
It’s Microsoft. There’s always more bugs on the way.
I would argue that is the point of having an FAQ/Examples in your documentation. Ideally someone would stop their first before asking clarification questions in the discord. Admittedly a lot of people are just going to go straight to asking questions but personally that’s not really been something I’ve ever really minded. Some people just learn better that way and it’s unusual for one of these discord channels to be so busy that repeat questions are drowning others out.
I think discord is great for the technical support side of things. It gives you a chance to talk through a problem in real time with someone more knowledgeable and ask follow up questions without waiting hours for a reply lile frequently happens in support forums. That being said it should absolutely not be the repository for documentation.
I’ve been finding this out at work recently. Got lazy and started doing most of my conversations via teams instead of email and now having to find shit from like a year ago is practically impossible. Even some conversations I know contained what I’m looking for just have random gaps where posts have disappeared.
The closest one I’ve found to what I’m looking for in a note taking app is Obsidian. Really it kind of set the standard of what I need with how efficient it is to use. The only issue is syncing to my phone and tablet. I’m using Nextcloud and so far have only been able to get “read” access on my mobile devices. If I try to create/edit a note it gives me access errors that I haven’t found a way around. This isn’t a huge problem because I mostly reference notes on the devices anyway and am not making changes to them. Mobile note taking is typically done in my physical pocket notebook anyway.
Why would you need some kind of smart mirror to work out? What doe it even do?
After I’m finished doing the same shit over and over again for another 7-800 hours in warframe I’m sure I’ll get around to playing some of the games I actually paid money for.
If I could pay a fair price for the product I’m getting off torrents (no drm media files I can use on any device I want) I’d consider it. I buy books off humble bundle like all the time.
“oh, right. If I had just pirated this my content wouldn’t be delayed by these stupid piracy warnings.”
Personally I don’t think these people should be having private conversations with minors at all. It’s fucking weird and stupid and just leaves them open to this kind of allegations.
