Right? Not to get all soppy but I have so many memories from it. It’s a great picnic spot.

Edit: I should have read to the end :) I must give that another read.
There’s too much actually so spin over and it’s yours.
I am in a food coma all day from eating nothing but bread and cheese.
Haha! I see it now!
The over-proofed non-sourdough ones…

Props to user /u/chrisbtoo@lemmy.ca (not sure if that’s the correct way to tag) for the recipe

Not The Onion@lemmy.world•National Lottery calls for ban on betting on its gamesEnglish
1·20 days agoOh! Well let’s say the payout for matching 4 numbers on the lotto is 20 euro, well the bookies will pay out like 23. They have tighter margins but they’re happy with it. They do run off the national lottery draw numbers too.

1·20 days agoWell rich people don’t need to do the lottery and on average people who aren’t rich are the ones losing money for the desperate hope of some way to claw themselves out of the poverty trap.
That’s class. Definitely trying this at the weekend. Thanks!

6·22 days agoAh I’m bummed to hear that. I just came across him and watched Segal and the drunk Mel Gibson one. I was hoping for more as I wheezed laughing the whole time but it’s been nearly a year since his last listed one.
Even got this text from my wife in bed…
Just checking you’re ok you’re laughing yeah? X

9·23 days agoThe bookies offer better odds unsurprisingly. Not a fan of the national lottery myself. It’s a tax on the poor.

10·24 days agoYep. Not into the oul’ school board meetings myself but a waiver like that is definitely going to push me across the line into rabbid activism, complete with pitchfork.
Magnificent hole tbh.
The wonkiness? I doubt it very much. I’d say bad workmanship or time doing damage but I’m guessing.

Good News Everyone@piefed.social•UK moves to ban smoking for everyone born after 2008English
16·30 days agoStraight up prohibition never works, especially with something like nicotine. Doing it by age will create a populous where it was never an option.
New Zealand were going to do this before and honestly I thought it was a good way to phase out smoking for a population. They shelved it is I remember correctly.

Yeah, and I know this sounds trivial by comparison, but we had something similar here recently and it was a proposed ban on fox hunting that the government scooched away that the populous were wildly in favour of.
I have to say that if 25% of my city’s money was being spent on police I’d be making them earn their fucking money and you may infer from that what you will.
Imagine the opportunity cost. And guess who lost the most in that trade? The most vulnerable.
