Oh shit. My home is underwater. :(

So functional!
For the non command line folks it was peak.
Best MS operating system ever IMO. Rock solid. Absolutely could not fault it. I switched to Linux before XP.
To be honest I use signal “message to self”. I know there are better ways to do it but it’s a very convenient way to transfer small files from my laptop to my phone securely.
These would also be my top two apps. Absolutely essential pieces of kit IMO.
The android integration is just so good these days. Syncing is the only minor issue but it is minor.
That’s the one! Thank you. :)
What was the name of the arcade game that used that song?
It was a vertical scroller car game and you could power up your car with guns and stuff.
From what I’ve seen - It’s not paid but folks who bought the game without having to have a PSN account are pissed that they’re going to have all their data shared with Sony when they didn’t agree to it at purchase time.
I would be too.
I installed mine from fdroid. Just searched on the play store and couldn’t see the same one on there or even anything with the same name.
The icon is a yellow Pinwheel on a blue background.
There is some indication based on commit times and the VPN used that it’s somewhere in Asia. Really interesting detail in this write up.
The timezone bit is near the end iirc.
Hello fellow Dub. :) I’m a Northsider too. Your brief foray to the south (even if it is the north of Wicklow it’ll always be the south side) doesn’t count and means we’re kindred. :D
It’s a bit like saying Comedy Central cutting the Muslim prophet Muhammad from that south park episode means he was banned from US TV. It’s not the same thing.
It’s a fair point but not quite the same. At the time in Ireland the vast majority of the population only had access to RTÉ (and BBC if you had a big aerial on your roof and lived close enough to the north) so both state broadcasters not choosing to broadcast was an effectively a ban.
Satellite and cable were taking root but cable wasn’t an option where I lived at the time which was only 20KM from the centre of Dublin city. Outside the major cities it just wasn’t happening.
We did get a satellite dish around that time so that we weren’t restricted to just two channels (edit: our house was located in a lowland that ruled out BBC even with the usual roof aerial) but with Sky in on the ban that would have ruled that out as a way to see it too.
Different times!
Sounds very much like it.
In snatch no less!
That sounds like a lovely memory. :)
Lovely tune. I’d never heard it before either.
This looks really cool and the intro video is spot on. Definitely going to give this a whirl.
I ended up down a rabbit hole of watching challenges. Some incredible talent out there.
Not happy, only that some drop off was inevitable. I’m hoping we start to see organic growth from here on and eventually exceed that previous peak.
That peak was never going to be sustained though. We’re approaching the “stick around” number which is good to know.
Magnificent. I have hum off and beeps off and love it.
