Is this actually real? Is it really no a satire?

In my country, foreign people are called by their real name, not the local one.

The best email validation is just sending an email to whatever provided by the user. If user receives an email and validates it, than its validated.

This is one of the oldest games which is still somehow popular. I played it a lot with mods, but last time played it a while ago.
