NAFTA required better education to offset the jobs that would dissolve, the area I grew up in did invest in public schools and as a result I’m well educated and earn good money. I’ll let you figure out which areas decided education wasn’t an important investment.

That’s not really in the spirit of the question though. The question boils down to “what game made you feel some kinda way that you’d like to replicate?” It’s entirely hypothetical. Theres too many amazing games that have been made in the last thirty years to ever finish them all. But that doesn’t take away from that moment in a game that was so new and impactful that it became seared into. I’ve had experiences so deep it literally changed how I felt about death and loss and it would be amazing to feel those feelings again.

There’s a simply incredible amount of the population who refuse to participate in politics at all, then another huge swathe who gets all their news from social media or a single source which never gives the whole picture. Almost all the new hires at work save shit to one drive and teams and it’s incredibly annoying to locate anything. Just save it to the dang shared drive.

At this point nearly any device with a screen can emulate SNES games and the consoles that came before it. I have a cheap Chinese retro game handheld from Ali Express and it’s honestly so refreshing to play games that aren’t begging me to spend extra money.

Also, playing fan translations of games that weren’t released in the west like mother 3 and dragon quest monsters is so cool. 10 year old me would be so jealous.
