The fuck is a third-party browser?
I started using Helix a few weeks ago and I’m in love. I don’t want to spend multiple weekends figuring out the ideal plugin configuration of neovim. Helix seems to do everything I want it to do and nothing I don’t, right out of the box.

So it’s effectively a loan to Nvidia’s non-paying customers, financed by Chinese firms, to prop up the bubble holding the American market together?

I’ve donated more to private trackers than I probably would pay for several years of a streaming service
(a private linux iso tracker, of course)
Not an embedded dev. What’s the Rust situation in the embedded world? Is it ever used?

The slices aren’t in any reasonable order. This even led to this mistake in the article:
C was in use for 76% of the codebase followed by Rust at 10.3% and Vala at 3.77%.
(Python was between Rust and Vala at 4.76% for the library languages)

Those pie charts are bad

Right you are. Or, rather, left you are.

Oh I think we should stop all animal farming too, because it is reprehensible. And so-called “responsible farming” is not nearly possible at a scale to meet humanity’s demand for meat. It could only be a luxury for the wealthy, which I would also object to.

that’s nice for the miniscule fraction of meat that comes from such farming, cool misdirect though

grazing land is barely even a consideration in this calculation. Most of the land use of animal agriculture is for growing their feed, such as soy, corn, alfalfa

it certainly is, it’s just that vegan propaganda is nearly always true

I went to look for a link for you and found that I was misremembering. I was thinking of Alexandra Elbakyan, the creator of Sci-Hub, one of the libraries that Anna’s Archive indexes. In case you’re curious about her, here’s an archive of her personal page on Sci-Hub

most of them are vorbis actually, and not reencoded from spotify

iirc her writings gave me the impression that she basically worships communism and famous soviet communist leaders in a vaguely religious way. I can go look again later and elaborate. It could just be the language barrier that gave me that impression.
Edit: I was misremembering Alexandra Elbakyan, the creator of Sci-Hub, as Anna of Anna’s Archive. Oops

I fucking love annas archive.
Anna does seem rather insane though

Well it kind of stands for nothing, because at the center of this onion is GNU, which is recursive. It stands for “GNU’s Not UNIX”, so the G in GNU stands for GNU.

please god no

People on here are the most pro FOSS but luddites at the same time when it comes to AI.
This is consistent. Do you realize who the Luddites were?
