It was significantly harder to set up remote access for Jellyfin than Plex 6 months ago. I ha ent attempted since. With Plex there was literally no set up, it just works. Until it just works without having to do any extra work, Jellyfin will struggle with adoption.
I have both running, and thatd a big difference to me. Also I prefer the way Plex detects intros and credits for skipping and their detection for captions. Once that’s all sorted Jellyfin wins in every field.
I do this too but it only works on my home network not remotely.
With the caviat that you have tailscale enabled on both devices. This prevents it from being used on a roku outside your home but you could access it remotely from your computer/phone/tablet.
It is significantly harder than Plex, currently. There are improvements happening all the time though.
Ya know what’s crazy? I got a Steam link when it became available and it barely worked because my computer and router sucked more than I realized at the time. Then last year someone made a video about it and said how awesome it was and I remembered I had it and plugged it in.
They were right! It still works great, and since I’ve upgraded everything since then, I now know my computer was the bottleneck back then. I’m curious what new features a new Steam link could add to make it worth a whole new device at this point.
I kind of enjoy these short weeks (at least here in the US). People bring in food and more time is spent socializing. And enough people are out that many meetings get canceled so I still get my work done even with the extra meal breaks.
The more well known something is, the more criticism it will receive. Also with movie prices going up and Disney reminding everyone each year how little they care about fans, it’s not a surprise people have cooled on their decade old properties.
They are also spending more to make objectively less exciting projects. When the first Avengers movies were coming out it was impressive how well they brought comics to life. It’s not impressive any more with so many examples, so they aren’t pushing the bounds of expectations anymore. They have to wow people now with writing and performances.
I think the decision makers are also making more diversity choices (in the wrong way) and have the PR teams talk too much about how proud they are of their DEI choices instead of how they like the movie they made.
Black Nick Fury is best Nick Fury. Black Panther was incredibly well received. I felt like Moonknoght was better received than I was expecting. Miles Morales was a very popular Spiderman iteration. So I don’t think it’s just racism.
They just need to acknowledge who’s actually buying tickets. It sometimes feels like the same complaints people make about the WNBA not making a bunch of money.
Literally no one but advertisers like ads. Anything that leads to more ads being shown is a negative to your community. Some might understand the need to make money, but that doesn’t make anyone like ads.
They are correct. I’d do it myself but there’s alot of spam in 1 can for a pizza or even 2. I’ll have to set some aside next time I make Spam Masubi. Of course that means a few less servings of masubi… life is full of hard choices…
Hey, just give it up. I already answered that question. The nutritional value is not the only factor I value.
That’s the thing. I don’t need to be, because I’m not suggesting a diet shift away from established practices offered BY vets. You, however, are attempting to escew established norms in favor of your own agenda. As they say, “Fantastic claims require fantastic evidence.”
My claims are not fantastical, yours are.
You are certainly neither. If it was easy to solve, it would already be done. I believe it’s feasable with today’s techniques with imitation meat but at a huge cost.
The reality is that most pet food utilizes what would otherwise become food waste. It may be difficult to replace it in a way that isn’t a net negative.
If it actually enjoyed it, sure. But I believe it would be a substantial lowering of their quality of life. Seeing the difference between how happy my cats are with their normal food vs wet cat food vs churu treats, it’s plain as day they have preferences. While they can survive with proper nutrients, they won’t have as fulfilling a life by limiting their food source in such a manner.
I won’t talk about what’s natural since my cats aren’t catching any salmon or taking down a cow on their own, but I’m not getting a pet just to enforce a restrictive diet on them.
I would encourage people contemplating it’s use to instead get any of the many herbivore companions instead of trying to make the square peg fit in the round hole.
It was so wild! Mine looked like a stone with an emerald hue. I was not expecting the green at all. It was a time when I went to burger King more frequently to meet a friend who was sick so I tried it with no advanced notice of the repricusions.
To me, he is a nobody. I’m not a young kid either. LOL
But to counter the point in your post, I citr a quote from him in the article:
“You do films you don’t want to do. But you’ve got to do them because you haven’t worked in a little while and you’ve got to pay the rent.”
Acting is hard. At least they gave him money…
I’d never even heard of this guy before this movie. Sounds like he isn’t suited for working on big movies.
Basically, he just didn’t want to do reshoots and wanted to pull Clint Eastwood shit but realized he would be sued for breach of contract for not letting the director get the shot they wanted vs what he gave them.
On release that may be fine, but it will exist for years. My expectation is that it released with a shit screen so they could normalize that price point and then sell a + version in a year for another $150.
