Whoa, that sounds awesome! It’s better than where I live. Kindergarten is just grade 0. It’s the 4 hours ish and only during typical school season.

What kindergarten is in session during summer?
My biggest frustration with community building is how it’s so hard to do natively in game. (I play WoW.) Typing is slow and takes away time from DPS, especially if you are in a group with impatient veterans who want to chain pull. There needs to be quick communication, like a wheel or something. (I use Opie to create this, macro common sayings, like in Helldivers.) I need a V button like from Deep Rock Galactic. Give me fast way to communicate simple emotes and I’ll build from there.
Additionally, I’ll never see the people in PUGs again. Why bother being friendly? In Vanilla, we had the same server, a reduced population. I could literally run into a person in Ironforge a few days after a group. (Don’t group with that guy, he’ll yell at you for jumping.) I’d see the same names in trade chat. (Oh, that’s the nice blacksmith that made my sword!) When everything is cross server, the population is so large and I’ll never see them again, and 1 dungeon run is not enough to know if someone is worth making friends. Friends happen by repeated forced interaction and then realizing later that you liked them.
I also think that a 3rd place would help. Give me a space and a reason to be there. Only running dungeons thru magical teleport menus is immersion breaking and doesn’t foster any social interactions. Chat channels spamming LFG was terrible and slow, but at least you talked to people. The Theme Park nature and menu driven dungeons build zero community.
I moved out of Texas, post pandemic. I miss my friends and family, but I like that my lights stay on when it gets cold and the government isn’t trying to prosecute me because my kid is trans. Fuck Abbot and all his cronies.
Yeah, I think I had the power too high. It’s a new-to-me system and is stronger than my previous (heat stick and a big pot). Lesson learned.
I did end up dumping the whole kettle thru a funnel. Didn’t want the hop debris but oh well. I’ll rack to 2ndary and it’ll be fine.
And it dismisses the time component of self hosting. It’s not going to be zero.
It’s not really necessary in modern society. I do canning and other preservation hobbies. It’s easier to buy it. Unless you’re really interested in customizing your food, which is why I do it, it’s easier to buy it.
Sponsorship comes with a loooooot perks. Idk the full details, but, yeah, it’s a pro/con situation.
That’s what a few people were discussing!
Are you cherry picking the good games out of older libraries? I find people do that a lot when remembering. It’s a survivorship bias thing. The good ones get remembered more and the bad one forgotten, so they seem like the population is better.
Nowadays? I’ve never enjoyed mobile gaming. Every time I try, there’s been an absurd paywall or monetization. Once that strikes, I’m out.
Lots of people watch live sports, reality TV, talk shows.
Oh, maybe that explains why I don’t like streamers. I don’t like any of those things.
Why share a game with mixed reviews?
breathes heavily in process engineer
Mods, this should be flagged NSFW.
It’s not Zelda like, but if you like factory games, Satisfactory is as close to open world as a factory game gets. You land on a planet and have to build a factory to launch things into space for corporate overlords. It’s first person, lots of climbing and building. There’s a tiny bit of combat, not the focus tho.
Oh, Ididn’t know this existed, THANK YOU! Love science memes but it was dominating all the weird niche communities I sub to
True. I usually rehost and link. (See my other posts.) IDK why I didn’t this time.
I’ve never used itch. What’s good about it? What sets it apart from steam?
