I still agree with chicken, but beef I’ve been convinced.

When I was about 17 I was working at a small venue / in house catering company. At the time one of my jobs was to start the fire for the smoker and prep the meat. We got a ‘baron’ of beef. I’m honestly still not sure what cut that was but, it was huge had two grains and a thick fat cap. I had to trim some of the fat and season it.

The owners wife was very pregnant with a boy (some cultural thing where she wanted to make her boy manly IDK) she came up to me and asked me to trim off a piece of raw beef. I tried to talk her out of it but she was the boss I was a kid. she ate it and went about her day. I figured I should to.

it was beefy. it really helped me appreciate the flavor of the beef… did again several times.

mealie needs nutritional data for the recipes.

I talked to some folks who worked at Laika a while back at a party. They loved working there. This was some years ago, and my memory is a bit beer soaked, but they seemed happy and proud of what they did.

its hyperbole for clicks. the guy recognizes Aardman in the video and basically just says they are not doing well financially which seems true. https://www.business-live.co.uk/enterprise/aardman-animations-faces-financial-woes-32724904

or angle iron/aluminum.

I am really impressed by the quality of print of this, I have tried 3d printing a bunch and am constantly impressed by what folks (not me) can get out of these machines.

At the same time I am confounded by what people choose to print. This geometry is waaaay simpler quicker cheaper to achieve without 3d printing.

also I can’t get this output, so…

A table saw is not really needed for this sort of thing. A router with straight edge guides would work for dados for the shelves. Technically you could CTL with the router too, if you didn’t have a circular saw.

lol, a new layer of enshittification?

I do lots of vegies. classics are zuchini (cut into slabs lengthwise), onion (quarters or rings together) mushroom, bell pepper quarters. Also eggplant (cut in discs), whole tomatos are really good grilled.

Getting into the more novel stuff:

romaine

waffles

also kabob is always good and pretty easy.

Arise is my absolute favorite of their albums.

I switched to Nobara a couple months ago. My computer is a lot snappier. Overall its great. Some minor difficulties but no show stoppers.

Signal desktop gives me an error that it is keeping credentials in plaintext which is fucked, I tried to get it to not do that but havnt been able to figure out how. (there are tutorials for ubuntu/gnome, but I havnt figured out how to translate those to fedora/kde…

I just started using crow-translate which is amazing, but keep getting a screenshot error message. Something with wayland maybe? again when I search there is a lot of shit about ubuntu/gnome but that doesnt really help.

I think its more likely an impact driver. They are much more common than hammer drills. Ironically more inappropriate for any drilling.

Rampage was actually a good (if fucked up) movie.

Back when I had free time, I watched a lot of bad movies. Good bad (Tromeo and Juliet ) bad bad (BloodRayne). Just about everything of Boll’s falls into the second bucket, but Rampage is in neither. I don’t want to oversell this, but its an above average movie.

More likely the air traffic control gives priority takeoff and landing to the highest bidder. Crashes are not in the airplane owners’ interest, there are better ways to make money.

Started rewatching it because of this comment. It’s an ok movie. Not great but not bad per se. The eyes are an aesthetic choice and fit in with the rest of the movie, don’t bother me.

Of course I’m a sucker for most scifi, I even consider Jupiter Ascending a guilty pleasure and watched both parts of Rebel Moon. Those are objectively bad movies. Oh, and Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. Great guilty pleasure.

A movie doesn’t have to be great to be enjoyable.

Simple fillets vs these obnoxious complex curves. Yeah I’m right there with you.

yeah, the back end is the scarier part. I don’t think conservapedia actually added that much content, it just copied Wikipedia and edited the parts they cared about. Automating that, while helpful, isn’t that big a deal IMO. Disseminating the resultant bullshit (with a hint of plausibility) is where the nightmares begin.

This isn’t the first time they have tried this
