I agree on the second part, not the first. There’s nothing morally wrong with making fan projects, fan art, fan fiction, whatever else. It’s an expression of creativity and love for a franchise/game/story/whatever else. Don’t blame the people making the stuff, it’s harmless. Blame the corporations for over-extending their legal authority over an intellectual property for basically no reason.

Do you know what hardware store? I got a Thermos brand thermos for Christmas but it has a weird screw style stopper that makes it a hassle to drink from or open up, would very much like a solid insulated cup/bottle.
