What perplexes me is, this guy came up with a ton of songs that are regularly on my kids rotation, but I’ve never, ever seen him credited.
Many of them he did not write:

Interesting. I obviously knew most weren’t his but a few surprised me, like Apples and Bananas. Not about to rabbit hole down trying to find the history behind them, though!
Reminds me of an early Dr. Seuss book
He also did this one- https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Seven_Lady_Godivas
Hey, that’s the guy Roofi was made after in the Simpsons!
(for non-American lemmings)
Or non-Canadian? Or non-Armenian? Or non-Egyptian? Or non-Egyptian-Armenian-Canadian?
Anyway, he’s a Canadian who was born in Egypt from Armenian parents.
But Americans know him too.
Non-Americans as in he isn’t famous outside of the US (and maybe some other English-speaking countries).
Wait raffi’s albums are intended for children?
Of course. Did you not get the message? He sent it to every bananaphone out there!
The only consolation is that he probably can’t get the (mostly lovely) sounds out of his head either.
