For the first time in its storied legacy, John Marston’s beloved journey can be experienced on PC in stunning, new detail, with both Red Dead Redemption and its iconic zombie-horror companion story, Undead Nightmare, arriving to PC on October 29.
So excited about this. I’ve wished for years to be able to be able to play this game at 60 fps and hire. Months back I revisited this game on my PS3 to check out the multiplayer and the frames were rough.
I played through it on my Xbox One X some years ago and had fun with it. It didn’t run at 60 fps, but 2160p30 was a very cinematic experience regardless.
It’s very impressive how well the assets hold up at higher resolutions. You can’t say this about many games from that generation. Landscape rendering and design in particular was a whole generation ahead of the competition.

I replayed it last year on an Xbox 360 emulator, which gave me 1440p and 60 fps. It worked quite well!
Switch emulation works even better.
