Didn’t he already have the longest contract on the grid? Swear I saw somewhere he was already contracted til 2029.
According to Sky Sports:
Leclerc’s previous contract extension, which was announced in 2024, was reportedly due to expire in 2029.
I’m surprised too that Ferrari felt the need to extend a contract which lasts for another 3 years.
Edit: Welp, according to F1.com , “[his] previous contract ran until at least the end of 2027 with options and this new deal takes him beyond the end of 2028.” Who was right?
