I’m amazed more people don’t do their part. We’ve already seen lots of evidence that it takes one, maybe two people to kill Trump, for example. And at least the people over there love guns! And the 2A! And patriotism! And guns!

The Trump regime hasn’t quite reached a level of racist brutality and oppression matching the Japanese internment (so far), but it has far exceeded anything he experienced in terms of corruption and undermining of democratic norms.

Back in November 2024 he didn’t know what we know now.

I guess back then no one expected that the US will give everything up so easily to make those fascist dreams the reality we now live in.

The fuck we didn’t! I knew it was going to be this bad since goddamn 2015, and the only thing that surprised me is that it wasn’t this bad in Trump’s first term.

(Well, two things surprised me: the other was how Biden was even more suicidally feckless than I could have imagined. Even Weimar Germany managed to put Hitler in prison for a little while after the Beer Hall Putsch, but we couldn’t even manage to get to a damn indictment!)

Yes, that would be the “Japanese internment” I already mentioned.

I read George Takei’s autobiography as a teenager. I know more about it than most.

What Trump is doing with ICE isn’t as bad yet, but it’s getting there. And frankly, in some ways it’s even more hateful.

We’ve seen where this goes, multiple times before. They may not be as bad YET, but they are on the same path, and they will get there eventually, it’s inevitable. We have to stop them before they get there, and if they reach that point first, we have to be ready to react.

Trump has no intention of leaving after 2028, we all know that. We need to have a national conversation in front of MAGA, about what we intend to do when he refuses to leave. He thinks he can pull a Maduro, and just not vacate the White House, and that means he’s still President. He needs to know that he will be physically dragged out of the White House in shackles, if he chooses, and anyone who tries to defend him will be shot down without mercy.

Unfortunately for him men life expectancy in the US is knocking at his door. Pretty soon he’ll need someone to remind him where the pee goes.

You find think Ice’s antics and the inhumane holding facilities they use where people have been dying is at the same level yet?

Yes, new wars don’t count because it’s bad things happening to foreigners, so why. would it count /s

On the other hand I can’t name a year (and I tried, I went back as far as XIX century) where USA was NOT invading some no other country.
