“Just butter” would be a great name for a local bakery specializing in bread.
“bakery specialising in bread” just looks so wrong
Well most of the bakeries near me specialize in cookies and brownies and cakes. If it’s not sugar heavy, you won’t find it in the bakeries near me. I thought that was most bakeries, so I specified. I guess that’s just a local thing for me.
I’ve seen an Irish youtuber that works in a bakery and talks a lot about cakes as well. I suspect it might be an Anglosphere thing.
In German and French, there’s Bäckerei and boulangerie for bread related stuff and some sweet wares like croissant or fruit tarts. But full on cakes you would get in a Konditorei or pâtisserie.
I would say that’s false advertising if the sign claims just butter but they in fact sell bread with butter.
