I built this app with ai assistance.

The app is self hosted with docker compose. Has customisable end point, default is /go-notes Full rich text formatting with tables, resizable pictures and latex. Multi-user live collaboration on notes with access management.

Tag, search and customise the notes colour.

Has windows, android and Linux client apps all available in my repo.

My wife and I have been using it for over 6 months now and find it irreplaceable.

Would appreciate feedback on it.

Thank you. Can you tell me how your app handles sync when one or both phones are offline and have mismatched content when one or both phones come online?

It doesn’t. It relies on you being online to edit or create notes. Offline you can only view the currently open note.

Sounds great! I think the only time I can think of when I would be away from the internet would be when I’m traveling and have no internet.

Last question. When you say you can only view, can’t edit, does that mean it saves the entire db on your phone? If not, is there a function that always syncs locally a specific folder or directory in case your internet is sloppy?

I guess I could just throw this on my proxmox and figure out all those answers myself. I appreciate you making this. Thank you.

No, nothing is really saved locally, is just caches the on display item only. So only the currently viewed note is visible. Nothing else.

Essentially currently the app only really has any use when online, and very basic viewing ability when offline. I am planning to make the android app work offline, but that is a long term plan and not immediate.

Nah, docmost is way more complex and advanced. Mine doesn’t offer half what docmost does. Mine is a very simple and lightweight notes app with multi user live collaboration and some nice little customisation options.

Mine has an android, windows and Linux client. I couldn’t see those mentioned on docmost?
