Feels kind of low in a way. This is a unique car that has been raced with in the top racing series in the world. There are other unique cars that are already going for millions, so I would think a rich person would want these.
The biggest downside is that these things will likely sit in a showroom, considering how hard they are to both start and drive.

I guess if the price tag is lower, it’s because the 2026 car has not proven its legacy yet, whereas something like the MP4/4 has a very storied and desirable (and therefore very expensive) provenance.
Yeah, I get why they auctioned it now but this simply means that no one was willing to pay as much as if it had been auctioned off in 2027 after a successful season
Does that come with the power unit or is it just the car?
They don’t allow anyone outside their team to have a good look of an engine that is current spec. So no.
The article says the owner isn’t getting the car until 2028 which may not be the current spec by then.
When is the next engine regulation change?
No idea.
