This list looks super tame to a person in 2025. Like, there’s not even a blobfish!
But in 1984, there was no internet. Larson would have had to get most of these from his own memory. Even if he was using a large set of encyclopedias, it would have been too time consuming to find a bunch of worse names.
Don’t stick my guy platypus in with the likes of Clarence.
