My wife and I drove to the city today to get code cards. We were able to get one each, I was hoping to be able to get them for our kids, but was unable to get enough for all three of them.
But the fact that I had to drive 85 miles one way to participate was crap. I feel for everyone outside the areas where it is available, who does not have a chance to travel to get a code.
Scalpers have the codes on eBay, I see them up to $100.

My sister managed to get one at the 4th shop she went to, I had no luck. She was told they got 50 cards per shop, happily have out 10 at a time to the first handful of people, and weren’t sure if they’re getting more (so, what, I have to call every day and check?). Congratulations to the scalpers, I guess.
This has been a shit idea since generation 1, and they already fixed it! Why are we going back to visiting shops we haven’t set foot in in a decade?
Originally it was being reported that would be able to print a code on a receipt when they ran out of cards, but I guess that is not happening.
