I honestly feel pretty close to that, not as egregious but maybe like 16 to 20 hours awake to 8-12 hours asleep. Roughly 16-10
I tend to get wet hands pretty easily and the index+knuckles is still a stellar VR headset.
I’ve used it for nearly 4 years now and I’ve never felt the need to get those silicone slips - which seems to completely resolve the issue.
It’s a great OS. Ran it for a long time
The best take I’ve read so far is, paraphrased,
“It was an asset flip that got too popular for its own good. Instead of being able to slowly trickle sales over the course of a few months, it got mass purchased and effectively forced their hand.”
The idea being that if it hadn’t gotten so popular, it would have just been an asset flip to trickle in sales with no long term support or updates. Instead it got so big that and with no real team (dunno about this) there was no way for them to abandon it without this scenario. So better to close for optics than close for a step away from fraud lol.
If that was the intent, then yeah it was a scam regardless. And if it wasn’t the intent, then I don’t understand their reasoning. I would guess that if it got really popular and sales were coming in, that would incentivize them to continue it rather than closing shop?
Nice, looking good! Are there ways to customize it to a users liking? You could get a pretty good theme store going I bet!
Gonna sideload a browser while I mainload my game
Surely, password stuff is automated no?
You can completely customize boosts backgrounds to be whatever you want. I have mine AMOLED.
That’s true although I would also hypothesize that giant mollusks would likely fall into a biome that has these conditions.
That said, I could see body of a slug not really getting fossilized. The shell probably would be, but maybe not depending on circumstances.
Fetch authorization may be able to prevent that.
I’m not them but -
Forum style posts =\= reddit.
Short text style posts =\= twitter.
Just because lemmy is a forum style alternative to Reddit does not mean we should call it a reddit-like.
Just because mastodon is a short text style post alternative to Twitter does not mean we should call it a twitter-like.
It would be like saying reddit is a gameFAQs-like, but for more than just games. Is it inaccurate? Not exactly, but they are their own things. Related/inspired from each other, but so is basically everything that exists from art to practicality.
I think in this case, yes Lemmy was made as an alternative to the forum-image style posting that Reddit is now known for. However, lemmy and mastodon are far beyond that now too due to how it interfaces with ActivityPub (each instance being able to have its own community of the same name). It’s created enough separation that it almost seems inaccurate now to entirely call these a “-like” alternative.
There may be sorting options but it’s not one that I use so unfortunately I’m not sure of anything else about it. Glad to be of some help though!
It is not, when you open the app in the top right there are 2 filter settings. The first filter is top/all, and the second is the card view style, of which there are about 6 or so? The “Swipe” one should be what you’re looking for
Edit: sorry my mistake, it’s filter, then hamburger menu and the setting is “post view”
Boost for Lemmy does
If everyone writes a review in response to a terrible change in an update, it’s not a review bomb.
If none of these players knew about this, but started reviewing this game or a different game from the same company, it’s review bombing.
A concentrated spike in reviews =\= review bombing.
