I can’t believe it’s been a year. Damn. I really didn’t think I’d make it. I half worried I’d go crawling back.

My last two comments, one year ago were, “Memmy for Lemmy. Been happy all day.” (though voyager is my app these days) and, “Thank you. I already love it. I hope this is where all of the old heads go.”

That was a response to my introduction to lemmy.world.

I meant it when I said I was leaving. I wasn’t 100% sure I could make it after using Reddit for so long, but here I am.

It is so depressing how much I lost as a kid.

My backup method was almost entirely optical. Oh well. I’ve kept myself from feeling too bad by keeping in mind that I am waaaaay too lazy to ever go digging through it anyway.

I’ve played the first one and I’m actually running through it again on the deck. It’s definitely a good one.

As soon as I read what the commenter said about PoE I had a mild panic attack. I don’t even know what it is but I know it isn’t for me.

That said, I wish I could find another Cuphead. I have three 300% complete saves on both Switch and PC. I’ve deleted saves and replayed it many times.

That games hits just right for my severe adhd.

I don’t have that one. I remember my cousin using it to animate dolls she drew on paint shop pro though. I don’t specifically remember it being animation shop, but I remember the name Jasc when she was showing me her work.

My library closed recently because of structural issues with the building. I finally made up my mind and drove over to get a card. What a bummer.

I’m glad I figgered it oot. All I miss are the video subs. I can live without them.

YouTube can’t get it right, I watched one video about police brutality 15 years ago and now they think I just want to watch people get pummeled by cops all day and be mad about it. I can’t just go subscribing to a community with content I like on there, gotta subscribe to individuals and hope the right stuff rolls in. I just don’t watch many videos these days.!

Not just political subs. I’ve been banned from silly video subs just for commenting on /r/conservative.

Atari 5200 Trek. I absolutely loved that game as a kid and I still have the box and manual to this day.

That and PacMan are the only two games I had on the system. A beloved neighbor bought it brand new in the box from a yard sale and gave it to me around the the time the SNES came out.

Once we got that the Atari collected dust. We moved on and beat Super Mario World over and over again.

I still have a sweet spot for that game. Unfortunately the last time I dug the Atari out the controllers didn’t work any more.

And have it go area by area. I don’t need an obscene amount to live here in Appalachia. A living wage for me would be a poverty wage for someone from California.

It would probably require too much thought for folks in power.

My wife uses Facebook every day.

She’s a very family oriented person and she’s gonna be wherever they are.

She’s the kind of person who wakes up and calls her mom, then her grandma, then her sisters every single day. Hell, she even talks to her nephews every day and they’re toddlers.

There really isn’t anything that compares as far as that goes.

It’s funny. I’m dirt poor and I really want to play The Last of Us again. I could easily download it and get it going through piracy. Heck, it’s crossed my mind a time or two.

But you know what I’m doing? I’m waiting for it to go on sale and I’ll grab it then if the time is right. If not I’ll wait until it is.

I have plenty to do until then.

It’s definitely a service issue. I haven’t pirated a single game on Steam Deck.
