Wow, well said. I wonder if the arguement that “working in the office is important so that younger/newer employees can recieve mentorship” is just a theme and variation on the same thinking.

I miss the era of freeware and demos. Give me a taste with no strings attached and you are far more likely to get my money at some point.

Honestly it’s all sorts of wrong especially these days, but I’ve played through the whole thing 3 or 4 times. Surprisingly fun gameplay and enough easter eggs to be interesting on replay.

Lemmy/Kbin are a more friendly Reddit.
Mastadon is a more friendly Twitter.
Reddit was more friendly than Twitter.
Mastodon is primed to have some peak “Reddit moments”, but that’s ok.

Its a good tool for sharing and finding thoughts/articles/news, but if I want good discourse, I’m logging into Kbin.

Yup, imagine starting a fight, after which the other person beats you with a baseball bat a few times and just kicks you while your down for a while and eventually gets bored and walks away… And then you get up and declare, “I Won!”
