I disagree. If that was the case he would have won wdc. Because for the vast majority of the season they had the better car, but botched it either due to teams failure or some own mistakes. Don’t get me wrong, Lando is very fast, but it takes more than just being fast to become wdc.

Mechanical DNFs can happen to anybody. Statistically Lando has a higher chance to DNF based of a mechanical issue, since he hasnt had one yet. But as the old racing saying goes: to finish first you have finish.
