28 Years Later has had such an interesting and starkly diverse split in terms of what people thought of it. People seem to either like it, or absolutely hate it.

I liked it, but now view it as a complete departure from the originals, and from the zombie genre in general. Now we’re kind of getting a look into how this dystopian hellscape has solidified over the years and what kind of insanity comes out the other end. That’s the part I’m curious to see, even if it’s not executed as well as I’d like.

Fair enough. They’re trying to reach the broadest audience they can. The sad part is the folks that will actually listen and give a shit is a dwindling number on Xitter. They’re better off posting to both if not already. A massive swath of users that would be more receptive moved to Bluesky or left social media entirely.

I don’t use any of them but Twitter has been rife with dipshits and racists for a long time now.

I just completed the first Alan Wake (again) and then finished Alan Wake 2 after it. Now I’m playing Alan Wake: American Nightmare. I started playing Control too, but it has a lot of sounds and visuals that bother my wife, so I’ve shelved that one for the time being.

Yeah, I’ve been keeping track of that one and they are trying to get him removed from any sort of leadership role over the community.

I definitely buy more than 2 games per year, but the types of games I buy and the maximum price I’m willing to pay has changed. Almost everything I buy now is from indie devs, and I’m very selective of the larger studio games I’ll buy (right now, for example, I’m cranking through Alan Wake 2 after replaying the first one).

I use the ElfHosted extension as a fallback when Torrentio has a rough day. I don’t like the way it displays data like seeders, file size, etc, but it works well for getting results in a pinch.

I’ve never had a TT account but have been on Rednote for months. I don’t use any other social media outside of it, except Bluesky. Rednote is fun and folks are nice. It’s very focused on learning and sharing, so you get content that’s actually interesting, as opposed to the onslaught of hateful, vitriolic bullshit US-based social media loves to force into your feed alongside the 50 ads.
