Mango’s videos are great. I’d wager there are gems in there for even experienced users of freecad. I’m often surprised by some of the tricks he has.

Same. I’m kinda half migrated running both but plex is convenient and (for me) still free.

When plex initially exploded in popularity, the alternatives required like manual xml config, constant babying the database, and generally barely worked.

Plex had apps on all the devices from wii to your phone and just worked. There was also lots of promises of privacy, you owning your data, segregating accounts to coordinating direct access, etc etc. It was almost a no brainer because there was no alternative that could deliver that experience.

Now is very different. The vibes at plex are very different, the world is a lot more hostile to privacy, and there are open source alternatives that get very close to the same experience.

So for a lot of people, yeah, plex doesn’t make sense anymore.

It’s probably that one device with a battery. You know the one. It’s in that one room next to the thing.

I don’t know about expert but yes. Top results heavily influence the ai response and are listed as references and reddit is commonly high in results.

Ive recently replaced my docker setup on Linux with podman and as was said this isn’t entirely true. Running as user is actually a good thing but Podman machine allows root like you’re probably used to and the docker compatibility seems pretty good.

The networking seems a bit less stable with like wifi network changes and stuff but its definitely something to keep an eye on and give a shot as a more open alternative.

Also they only half work in Linux I guess? Something about not being able to create something.

But I think more than copium it’s them understanding their users. It’s advice for people that will figure out how to run Jellyfin but won’t stay on top of updates, setup a waf, use a firewall/reverseproxy to limit access, etc. There are surely a lot of those that just one clicked an installer etc and for them it’s good advice.

That’s a tough one. Those small points hanging ledges pose a lot of problems for printers and petg is not a forgiving filament type.

As others have said, petg can be a harder filament to print. Even dry it tends to be more viscous leading to oozing, stringing. I’m not convinced that’s the problem but it could be part of it as build up from stinging or over extrusion can cause collisions leading to something like this.

The damage looks like it’s happening on one side. That hints at either a cooling problem or some movement or seam placement problem.

Looking at pictures of your printer it looks like it has too fans so I suspect that side had direct cooling and the openness means it’s probably not getting a wall that would affect it.

Related to movement, speed/acceleration could be an issue. You might have heard scratching while printing in this area. If so slight warping during cooling or from over extrusion could lead the nuzzle colliding. On a more solid print you could probably get away with ignoring it as it wouldn’t affect the print but with such small parts small impacts over time will lead to knocking parts off or distorting them. Try slowing down the print. Most of the print here is delecate but you can do that in modifiers if you want other parts of the print to be fast.

Not sure how much that adds or helps but good luck.

I kind of understand why someone would honestly. Jellyfin subtitles are still a hot mess for a lot of formats unfortunately. Also, while plex has tried really hard to ruin their UI, I’ve still had more trouble explaining where to find things in Jellyfin. And if you’re sharing your collection with friends or family members there’s a lot more technical stuff involved.

So I can see why the balance might still tip toward paying plex still for some people.

Luckily I bought a lifetime license ages ago before the first price hike so this doesn’t affect me yet. So I’m just riding out the decline, running them in parallel until plex completely breaks. slowly transitioning the family as they get annoyed with broken features. Plexamp is quickly taking care of that 😅

I think your confusion is the other side of what the article was discussing.

The problem is, there have been a lot of number systems in the past. The one we currently use is based on the Arabic system. In common usage you would simply call them numbers. But in a technical sense, to distinguish from other numbering systems past and present, they’re also called Arabic Numerals because that’s their origin.

Clearly this ignores the fact Arabic is still around and using real Arabic numbers and that is both confusing and maybe problematic. But I think the technical reason it sticks around is to acknowledge their source and have a more specific term when there is a need

And thank God it can do that too because “copilot build my project” saves me the intense labor and frustration of hitting F7 on my keyboard

Check your local laws too. State might be legal, the city might not. For example in Texas it is often illegal or restricted under local ordinances.
