Very well put. I also avoid any appliance that needs internet or an app.
Kenwood is a great brand, but I’d never pay extra for it to become “smart”.
i’m using virtuamin myself, gives you a pretty decent interface to work with.
Like the peer comment mentioned. just drop nginx in front and let it so the TLS handoff. always recommend to put nginx in front of any open source docker project as you can finetune many of the security controls there.

It’s true that 27001 is more valued in the industry. The lack of the certificate also doesn’t imply they have no information security management system.
I was surprised they weren’t certified yet.
