Wouldn’t it then still be weird, so “the lawsuit benefits from piracy”?

I see, thanks. Now I must hope a legal-gray-area offline launcher supports mods, too.
You make it sound easy of installing the mods by just putting them in the mods folder. I hope it’s also as straightforward if I don’t have a GUI.
As I said in the post title (which I should make more clear), I want friends that don’t have a bought account to join my server that has online-mode=false. Is this possible? Or another way they can join without an account.
Maybe not, I think. If third party launchers are legal, and one of these supports offline playing, then it can be used for all online-mode=false servers. But this requires one initial login from a legitimate account. This means you have to give your password to whomever wants to join your server.
I see. EasyAuth seems a very nice idea. I’m not too acquainted with mc mods, however. I planned on researching how to host the Valkyrien Skies mod. Do you know if it’s possible and straightforward to have have these two mods work in unison? (I host the mc srv on Ubuntu Server 23.)
the fak…
Yea I just did that before posting. Joined with my legitimate copy on my offline mode srv. The inventories are indeed different, and/or they reset.
It’s np if some players have legitimate accounts. I want to allow both kinds. The loss of the skin is unfortunate with offline mode, though.
any idea why? Perhaps it’s the same as the gnome-mentality, following a very strict philosophy?
Just tell us what it means, with the I attached of course
So mbit/s instead of Mbit/s ? But the M in Mega is always capitalized though, except the k in kilo.
Why don’t people use Mb/s and MB/s which makes it so much clearer what you’re talking about
How about bittorrent? Take your pick
Got the same thing. Correct site. What is happening???
thats not how you hyperlink my dude
so does the Stremio-web also work with third party addons? When I used the https, no third-party addons were installed, like Torrentio. Which is obviously the whole reason I’m using it in the first place. Does it work on your end? Then perhaps it’s just my setup
okay gotcha. I set up the reverse proxy Caddy. Now if I browse to my external IP, I get redirected to:
Is this intended? Why am I using their site? I’m so confused. I thought my Stremio + Caddy would connect me INDEPENDENTLY over the interwebs :/
im not sure what the difference is between stremio-web and this https connection method. I installed Caddy as a reverse proxy, but when I connect to my IP in the browser, I get redirected to this URL:
Why am I using their DNS or site? I’m so confused. I thought my Stremio + Caddy would connect me INDEPENDENTLY over the interwebs
according to some guide, this is what the UI should look like: https://www.cloudwards.net/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/stremio-https-connections.webp
based on this guide: https://www.cloudwards.net/what-is-stremio/
Yeah it feels like im missing something or have something improperly configured. But no clue what that could be… It seems there is a bit of an automatic assessment involved (see the green check point symbol) before it hands out the URL “Streaming endpoint”.
just thought Stremio might be quicker and easier, because you can just give one temporary link to friends, without much setup on their side. [If it works at all.] I’m not that familiar with WAN on Jellyfin or Plex, but I doubt it is easier than just giving a link they can just stuff in VLC / MPV / (a browser?). Any idea how the experience is for an outsider/guest to whom you want to share something with on jellyfin/radarr/sonarr ?
In practice, I’d more often than not share with absolute tech morons
Super cool, but is it also completely self-hostable?
