And my pc made with mid range parts from around the steam deck’s release can still do medium-high settings on most modern games at 1080p, so the steam deck could even play most modern games at low on 720p

I might have bought more switch games if Nintendo made the switch actually usable by fixing drift on their controllers. I would be playing Nintendo games (I legally own) on my switch instead of emulating them but I can’t.
Typing your own code manually? Unheard of!
I thought they went independent after having their independence taken by fandom?

I have a 6700xt and 5700x and my pc can do vr and play star citizen, they are the most demanding things I do on my pc, why should I spend almost £1000 to get a 5070 or 9070 and an am5 board+processor?

Considering the game is coming to consoles this is probably just a first attempt so they can polish it for the console launch.

Best way to run an instance for cheap is on your own hardware, but I would only do that if you are experienced with self hosting since it would require port forwarding (unsecure if done wrong)

2 hours long? Time to sit in my watch later for a month!

From what I’ve heard about it, it’s because the default gtk style only fits in with gnome, and gtk4 made it really difficult to customise it and is also really buggy on anything not gnome.
That’s what I’ve heard anyway, I’m not a distro dev and the distro I last used is still on gtk3

Where are they getting the numbers from? I’m not doubting the article but protondb only reports that only 3225 games are rated verified and playable.

There is !fedia@fedia.io but that place seems inactive. I couldn’t find a status page listed in their sidebar. When I was looking around it was very slow so it isn’t just a problem with you
Seeing “spicy pillows” always makes me extremely anxious because of how horribly it can go for anyone near one. This community would be extremely bad for my mental health… ~I joined it…~

The official one that came with the pi. It is plugged into a power bar but that hasn’t ever been a problem, I’ve had it since december 2023

No important data is on the SD card, only an external drive attached to the pi. I have had to turn the pi off to take the data off of the drive.
One of my favourite game dev stories from the 1980s is the story of Elite. It was a game people thought couldn’t be made. Most devs thought hardware wasn’t powerful enough and publishers thought it wouldn’t be fun enough.
It was one of the first properly 3D open world video games ever made. I think when it released it sold nearly as many copies as there were home computers that could run it.
In order to make the game small enough to fit on a cassette tape they had to ditch basic and program the entire game, world in assembly.
There’s a fantastic video about it here: https://youtu.be/lC4YLMLar5I

Do you own the java edition? If you do then you get the windows version included, if you don’t, you don’t have much choice, it is probably impossible to pirate the windows version since it’s multiplayer is so locked down.
You’ll probably have to emulate android or buy it again to play on PC. At least you get java included! Yay?

Cool! I was just looking at the poster they made and it looks like the DLCs are part of the deluxe set but it is designed badly or I misread it

And it doesn’t even include the DLC of the original game like skyrim se did, you have to buy the deluxe edition (an extra £10/$10)

New engine as in an updated creation engine or new engine as in they finally gave up on creation engine
Vsauce talks about this a bit in this video (near the end), it’s really cool!
