I’ve been wanting to make my applications easier to test. The issue is, I don’t know what to test. Often my issues are so trivial I notice them immediately.
What are some examples of common things in, let’s say a web server, that could be unit tested?
Would I mount the the pictrs folders as a network folder locally?
You need a GPU for that. Most $5 VPSs don’t have that.
FYI this requires a JWT so if registrations are closed on your instance you don’t have to worry
We must self host an instance to discuss self hosting instances to discuss self hosting the instance.
A centralized, proprietary alternative to Lemmy.
Xcrements.
It looks like shit on mobile though, only looks half decent on desktop
The client doesn’t store passwords at all, but the client does store your token in localStorage (it’s necessary so that we can make authenticated requests). The only way your account could get hacked is if they gain access to your browser and look through localStorage. If they have access to your computer, you have other problems though. If they do gain access, you can invalidate the JWT by changing your password.
I got a spike of usage on my app as well. No idea what happened.
Brb learning three.js
Will it be open source?
now I feel an obligation to keep my instance alive as long as I physically can
More interesting than a single letter
At least they’re consistent with the elephant theme
That is a stupid name
It’ll be a nightmare to search
Gonna name my company “😃”
I agree. I can only learn languages by having an idea of something that’ll excite me. Making a to-do app rarely teaches me anything since I don’t have fun doing it.
Smh, you’re not even dumping them into Linux from scratch to learn C++ yet!
Thanks for all that you do! I donated :>
