Ehh. What’s the average age around here? I’m guessing it wasn’t the youth that migrated from Reddit.

More people should code Csound. Doesn’t matter if you’re musically inclined or not. Just do it. Make weird noises. Have fun!
Metroid Dread, Stardew Valley, and Baldur’s Gate 3.
The former on Yuzu’s last build on a nice 32 inch monitor with a big controller that doesn’t cramp up my hands. It’s pretty hard, but I did just get past a part I hear a lot of people quit on, so there’s that. I can’t imagine trying to play it with Joycons. I’d probably snap them in half.
A user named kadu was offering it up to all in the earlier thread. He said it’d be available as long as he was around. Just DM him for the link.
You wanna believe I downloaded it as soon as this was announced. Been playing some Metroid Dread on a 32 inch monitor with a controller that doesn’t cramp up my hands the past couple of days. Thanks for giving me the push I needed Nintendo! I might have just been happy with my Steam library instead.
Can ROMs be extracted from fitgirl repacks? I searched this question, and it pointed me to the Reddit MEGAthread. I found that through here, but I still can’t find an answer. Thanks!
I’ve been using a pair of dual shock 4s for something like seven years now without any drift. I had to buy new stick tops because I wore them out.
OTOH, the dual sense I bought started drifting so badly, it was unusable after a year.
Download GODOT and learn the scripting language and the shader language. Make a game! Or at least neat shader art.
Bonus answer: Csound. Make funky noises with code.
Treasure! Dynamite Headdy, Gunstar Heroes. Bangai O. Not to mention the shmups. Damn they made some amazing games with super cool mechanics. Last I checked, they made a few anime tie-in games or something in the 2010s, but nothing since then.
Yeah. They certainly tend towards arty bunk. I guess I get it: it has to be hard to come up with ways to describe music that haven't been used a billion times before, but they lean so hard into trying to be unique, it all comes out meaningless.
It requires a lot of filtering, but I find Pitchfork.com reliably has something decent in their "best new …" pages. Just don't actually read the reviews.
I’ll say! I finally got around to Elden Ring, and it’s everything I could have hoped for in an open-world Souls game. It lives up to the hype for sure.
First person on-rails shooter. Space Harrier. Sin and Punishment.
Both franchises are apt to hand-wave science, so who knows? How does a warp drive compare to a hyperdrive? Blasters to phasers? Thermo detonators to photon torpedoes? Star Wars doesn’t seem to have matter/energy manipulation like replicators and transporters, though, so Trek has an edge there.
I just finished Trails in the Sky SC at just over 90 hours playtime. I didn’t even 100% it. I have to admit. I didn’t even much enjoy the first half or so. It mostly ended strong, but I was starting to get a little sick of kicking the same bad guys’ asses over and over only to have them declare they’re not even using their full strength in the post-fight cutscene before they mysteriously disappear to inevitably come back later.
Haha! I’m still waiting for a decent sale on Spider-Man 1.
