I use servers extensively, for several communities (some small like my weekly RPG game servers and my book club, some much bigger like the AI art servers I’m on), all of which have multiple channels which are used for different things. Correct me if I’m wrong but afaik Signal (and Molly which I’d previously not heard of) doesn’t do that

I buy most of my games on steam simply because it makes running them on Linux so damn easy, and I remember the bad old days when it was hell!

No, if someone is willing to pay more than you they may want it less but also value their money less because they have a lot of it, or they may think they can use it to make more money than you are willing to pay for it. capital=power, not desire

There are edge cases where there are professional programmes that might be better but unless you are a professional you do not need them and even semi-pros would likely be better served by those three
