I own a brother inkjet and it works fine, although it complained when I put the wrong brand of ink in it.
My grandfather told me he saw German tanks with a Ford logo on the western front.
He drove a Cadillac.
Wow I had no idea! Riker is really awesome.

Reddit is not moderated by paid corporate employees. It’s all volunteer labor.
The UK archive apparently archives everything. Tom Scott recently did a video about it.
My grandfather got really into video archiving and from the early 80s through 2005 amassed about 14,000 video tapes, mostly of various aviation TV shows. He spent his entire life as an engineer for Lockheed. His entire 2-story condo in San Diego was a massive VHS library with shelving extending 8 ft high.
Anyways, my father and aunt threw it all in a dumpster because they didn’t know what to do with it. All they kept were his ashes… Which almost 20 years later are still sitting on a bookshelf somewhere
I had no idea that Mr. Nimoy was the son of Jewish Ukrainian immigrants.
I don’t know man, I’ve been using my Roku TV from Haier that I bought back in 2015 or 16 and they’re still updating it!
It’s actually been a rock solid TV.
I just subscribe to whatever content I want to see. Wish my feed defaulted to subscribed instead of all because I hate lemm.ee.

Most people are content consumers, not creators. It looks like the exodus was largely that if users so…
The problem is that quite a few content creators become entrenched using their platform and they don’t want to move on. Just look at all the journalists and human rights advocated still using Twitter. Now they’re being doxxed and their platform destroyed but they still won’t leave.
I visited /r/space the other day and everyone there was complaining how the mods weren’t doing their jobs and their sub was being spammed to death with shitty posts, OT content, porn etc. Kind of funny and exactly what was predicted.
Some of those even link to the reddit thread! So if anything it diverts Lemmy users back to reddit.
Yeah it’s great
Reminds me of early days of Linux.
You should ditch windows and switch to Linux! It has everything!
What I can I do on it?
You can compile your own kernel!

TL;DR: X’s rate increases are costing the service about ¥6 million per month. As that is very expensive, they would rather spend their money developing their own platform and using a free social media platform to disseminate information.
”…move our operations onto different platforms will eventually only result in the same outcome as this time and therefore will not be considered.”
Food, shelter, healthcare, transportation, utilities, and some money for travel and entertainment.
Plus the ability to get financing or financial aid to pay for education and training, but those can be paid for by the government or an employer.
