Oh, my bad. I used postdate but I want to say backdate… 🫢
And that would set dates in the past, to match the dates from original publications on instagram, wouldn’t it ?

Pretty sure no admin in the world would like to mess with their database and instance integrity plus potential side effects on the federation.
You may try it in your own lab at first. Something like in a local VM on your own computer, selfhost pixelfed, ask chatgpt how to overwrite publications date and see what happen.

2·3 months agoWith 200 accounts and 5 to 10% active users that is 10 to 20 concurrent connections on peak hours. Probably more like <10.
In that range you still should prefer lightweight instances with best admin and moderation tools.
System load and storage will be more affected by the federation itself than you user activity.

4·3 months agoFor a single user instance (or friends - family) pretty much anything will do.
Consider also ease of administration, upgrade smoothness. It vary quite a lot depending on the stack and maturity of instances flavors.

You have many options to choose from…
- rsync over ssh+key, maybe pull from the central backup host is better
- Borgbackup, restic and alike, so push
- Syncthing, push or pull I can’t say for sure
Done #1850
Well, I looked at it a little bit closer : on desktop with chrome’s devtools, you can reproduce the issue if you select the mobile view and iphone 14 pro max emulation.
I guess I will submit an issue on Codeberg 😶

Thanks. I will wait a little for Lemmy.world to apply updates, currently they run PieFed v1.6.27-11-gd06f9b66.

I figured out that this double row is specific to iOS.
Hello
Thanks for your reply, I didn’t expect that, my post was an encouragement to keep up the good work, not a criticism.
Your screenshot does look better than mine, see that very tall icon bar? I don’t know why they are stacked on two rows.

Even on one row, I would say that it needs to be resized close to 66% height, maybe 50%.
Maybe I should look for piefed support forum or something ?
