Wanderer is pretty fun, more user curated things, some are shitty some are high quality, depends, plus you can just contrubute your route too! And the fact that it’s activity pub powered is a nice bonus

Jellyfin: The Free Software Media System@lemmy.ml•Music player for Android recommendations?English
8·1 month agoWell, I always used the Finamp Beta, which is pretty good! (You need to download it manually or join the beta test on google play/app store, did you try the normal version or the beta version?)

Jellyfin: The Free Software Media System@lemmy.ml•Managing musicplaylists...any suggestions?English
2·2 months agoI use JF for music, I have a big library (16k songs, some are sorted by album (one folder by album with songs inside) and some are sorted by genre (one folder by genre), all folder are treated as album, which is fine with me.
Then, I often play songs at random, and sometimes I add some songs to playlists ive created. I also use finamp
However, Jellyfin has a BIG performance issue with music… This will be mostly fixed in the next big release, but in the meantime, loading and playing songs takes a long time… I go around this with Finamp.offline mode and having downloaded songs on my phones beforehand.

Quick info: you cannot backup the Host server with PBS, only VMs and LXCs.
Edit: there seems to be some ways to send a manual backup of the PVE host to PBS but it seems to be CLI only and I don’t think the GUI allows that.
Also, you might want to put the backups in a dedicated partition or drive if you can, so you’d just have to reinstall pbs in case it get bad. I don’t know any way to backup pbs, as I don’t do that myself, maybe backuppc ?

Matrix is great
actually, the biggest ratio is human to bots being prolly something like 1:100…
But the idea is awesome tbh, could have been activitypub powered though!

It is enabled by default, you just need other server to be able to contact your server by https. Then you’ll see other servers content on your timeline, of course as always with activity pub, you might need to kickstart it by following a few people first.
You can also follow people from a wanderer instance on mstdon then you’ll get posts with links to the trails :)
