They will never make another thoughtful, dialog heavy, diplomacy and reason focused Star Trek series. The mass audience won’t go to see it if there aren’t lots of explosions and personal drama and that’s the audience they want.

But the base game will still be Starfield :( kudos to those modders though looks pretty amazing.
Hey it’s a free world. You’re welcome to migrate to a different instance. Heck why not run your own? That’s the power of the fediverse. Or just head back to Reddit.
I’m someone that happily advocates Linux for daily use but for gaming… Some games run great on Linux Steam but there are more than a few that either won’t run at all or for some reason (gpu drivers maybe?) run slow as hell when on Windows they run just fine. I 100% prefer to run on Linux but until there’s a solution for that I’m stuck dual booting.
I take it you’re referring to Boo, the miniature giant space hamster?
It’s not super difficult to just make a standards compliant website. I always wonder how in this day and age people manage to create professional websites with browser specific bugs.
They sure know how to make a cinematic trailer.
I have ports open (to receive backups from my other servers) but only to connections from specific ip addresses and only port 22 using a pub key (no password) I’d be hesitant to open port 80 to the public though.
Then again I’ve run a small public web server for well over a decade and never had any issues with hackers.
I mean I play pretty much exclusively old and 2D games. If you asked me to give up my SSD or my GPU, the GPU would be the first to go.
Except for those that are too coupled. Or those that pass because the response of the class you changed was stubbed in that other test.
I love tests too by the way. Just many things I’m still not sure how to test properly. Always struggling with the borders between integration and isolation.
Console commands if you want to manipulate the world quickly and you don’t mind ‘cheating’ a little.
Otherwise there are lots of mods that offer better tools, such as Tinkers Construct.
Do engineers take some sort of hippocratic oath?
Apparently people don’t like Nord but a few years ago several privacy sites advocated for them. I wonder what changed.
Just wondering, do you feel current lemmy instances are censoring pro-palestinian content?
Of course it's always fine to start your own too.
Nvim & tmux gang! I’m always happy to see a reasonable number of people mentioning vim in these threads. Need that affirmation that I’m not just a dinosaur.
Ah Emacs.
That’s why there’re are different instances. No one can force you to join lemmy.world just like no one can force them to host content they don’t want to host.
My kid didn’t think I look enough like a real dad so he harangued me until I grew a beard. And hey it grew on me and eventually even on my wife. Well you know what I mean.
