Greetings, fellow geezer! I had a CPC 464 in the mid eighties and when I bought the floppy disk drive, it came included when a CP/M boot disk. You couldn’t really do anything with it though, other than boot, because they didn’t include any application software. There are a lot of mini PCs these days that use laptop parts. But these are pretty much pre built and all you can change is RAM and storage. Building a pc from laptop parts doesn’t really make sense, though, unless you want to hack something together from used parts.
