Yeah, that seems to be what most people are saying.
I’m not touching that game personally: I read their EULA and it includes the sale of analytics data to 3rd parties.
You have to buy new character classes with premium currency, and they’re not what I would call “micro” transactions. Technically I guess you could earn them through play, but you’d have to willing to grind a lot.
Yes, exactly this. I have a 20-something friend I made through online games who was trying so hard to get me to install this, and he had never even heard of Nexon.
No, it only looks like the matrix screen saver to normal eyes, but when you’re wearing that hacker mask, you can actually see through the code directly into the pipes of the Internet.
Why would Ubisoft change their tune now when every single game in their entire IP catalog requires an Ubisoft account? I don’t believe this for a second.
It’s still a good game, and Arrowhead is trying to do right.
I agree with you except for the fact that Sony has yet to change the region lock out or remove the PSN account requirement on the Steam store listing. Talk is cheap and that’s all Sony has done so far.
Right now, Sony has yet to update the Steam listing to remove the PSN account requirement or the region lock out. Don’t update your reviews to positive yet. Talk is cheap and all Sony has actually done it put out a statement to appease fans and stop the damage.
An hour after this announcement was made, a tiny update was pushed via GamGuard to steam players and now there’s a .DLL file that’s being flagged by antivirus as a malware. My AV detects and cleans the file, making the game completely broken. There a Steam discussion about this issue and, surprise surprise, the file in question is used by GameGuard.
I’m sure it has nothing to do with Sony’s recent announcement of their patent for biometric harassment detection.
The game racked up over 10k negative reviews in 90 minutes yesterday. People are pissed. There’s also the issue of PSN only being available in a about a third of all countries.
I just uninstalled the game over this and I have 350+ hours.
Emad has a history of lying his ass off and grifting. I wouldn’t trust a word out of his mouth. He basically stole the StabilityAI company from the original creator by convincing him it had little value, meanwhile he was courting investors to buy StabilityAI by exaggerating the capabilities that didn’t exist.
He also used company funds to pay for his luxury apartment in London, and then tried to claim it was a accident and he would pay it back after he was caught.
He directed StabilityAI employees to take over control of the Stable Diffusion sub reddit and kicked the creator and main mod, who was a Dutch teenager.
There are too many alleged and confirmed incidents of his dishonest behavior to list them all here, but the most telling for me was when SD1.5 way released without StabilityAI’s knowledge by RunwayML, who actually developed Stable Diffusion and thought they were working in an open partnership with Stability.
There’s so much more drama surrounding Emad than what’s in this Wikipedia article, but it hits some of the major issues. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emad_Mostaque

Helldivers 2 wins. You get to drop orbital strikes, launch ICBM nukes, call in cluster munitions, etc.
I’ve used an Intel V8 NUC with a discreet AMD GPU for years to do all sorts of self hosting. It makes a fantastic Plex server as it can transcode really fast.
