Eagles coach Nick Sirianni hasn’t decided whether he’ll let Saquon Barkley attempt to break the NFL’s single-season rushing record Sunday but he says he’ll talk to everyone in the organization, including owner Jeffrey Lurie, before making that call.
I’m very conflicted on this.
My initial thought is, it’s not worth it. If it was 20 yards, than I’d say go for it, but 100 yards is risky.
However, I can’t think of anything better than beating a 40 year old record while playing the team that let you walk.
Then again Dickerson did it in 16 games, so it’s not really the same to break it in 17.
But again NY has given up the second most rushing yards. So, I say put Gainwell to start then if NY is playing like NY then let Barkley go in and get his title.
