I was lucky, the year before I started high school, the school replaced all of this style desk with ones with a full top. The new desks even allowed you to sit from either side.

Middle school however, had this style.

Those desks sucked for right handers, too. I remember everything always falling off the right side of them all the time. Like they were just fundamentally designed wrong.

Righties felt pain, too you know!
