While it still has plenty of work ahead of it, Comet is a very promising project to bring the full power of GOG Galaxy over to Linux without needing to run their client in Wine.
I did install a couple of games with Heroic without issues. But @pleb_maximus@feddit.de said they had some kind of problem with it, so I recommended Lutris as an alternative. I haven’t used Heroic in a while though, Lutris seems to work well enough for me.
Or randomly decides at least half of my games are not available for download.
It’s a shame. I want to buy on gog, but when the exact same game works without a hassle on Steam instead…
I’ve successfuly installed a few GOG games with Lutris, might be worth a try
Have you tried Heroic? I’ve heard it supports GOG but I’ve only used it for a couple Epic Games games

Yup. It’s basically random which games are installable today.
Currently I can install 6/34 of my games from gog:
Sure, that will work too. Bit it’s more of a hassle than just logging in and clicking “install”.
Man, I have gotten lazy. :/
You can also link your GOG account and install whatever game you want. Once linked, you should only have to click install.
Oh yeah. Just had to uncheck the “show only installed” to see my stuff. Thanks. :D
That’s a bug which is fixed in the next version.
Still a pain waiting for the next version to actually drop. That seems like it should warrant a hotfix.
It really should be. Shame that they are taking their sweet time with it.
