“This Court must, once again, preliminarily enjoin enforcement of the President’s most recent attempt to strip the right to citizenship from them.”
The lawsuit was brought by a group of immigrant rights groups, including CASA and Asylum Seeker Advocacy Project. They had sued over Trump’s previous executive order that sought to end birthright citizenship for children of undocumented immigrants.

Wouldn’t eliminate most of them entirely, but the resulting delays in implementation may well literally save lives compared to the current system of mostly unchecked and fast acting lunacy from the Mango Mussolini
This is why. He keeps doing whatever and then we have to play catch-up through the courts and by then he’s destroyed or stolen what he wanted, even if the courts stop it, which he ignores half the time anyways. It should not take a lawsuit for the SC to exercise oversight over the executive, they should be scrutinizing it’s orders constantly. Their job is ensuring the executive and the legislative follow the law, not just when someone raises an objection. But then maybe the legal system is so fucked already we shouldn’t be where we are at all.
