Rattlesnakes are only in the Americas and Elephants in Africa/Asia so the implication here is it’s a vet with a tranq dart at a wildlife preserve like Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Florida and the Elephant has chosen violence against the keeper.
If African Swallows can carry coconuts then I am pretty sure they can carry rattle snakes too.
