I’ve been playing Old School Runescape during zoom meetings but I’ve done all that can be done in a free account and I don’t wanna pay the exorbitant membership fee.
Looking for recommendations for a similar game that doesn’t require a lot of attention and can be easily paused/resumed at will.
Must be able to run/emulate on Linux

Banished is a pretty chill city builder game that could work well for what you want. The mechanics aren’t that complicated which I find makes it pretty easy to put down and be able pick right back up where I left off. It’s a Windows game but I’ve had no problems running it under Proton in Linux.
Good lord calling banished chill is insane haha. It has to be one of the hardest city builders me or my wife have ever played.
Maybe I spoiled it for myself by playing as many city builders as I have, but I didn’t feel it was too hard the one time I played it, just really slow to get things rolling.
